Description of room:
A very large, very nice room. Pretty much identical to the offerings at the Orleans. Perhaps the owners of the coast properties don't have much imagination ... they're regurgitating the same buildings. At least it's a good design, though. Love the two part bathroom and dual sinks. No coffee pot, though, fascist bastards. I guess this is the hotel's way of making you buy coffee at the coffee shop downstairs ... and ensuring you can't be cheap like me and make oatmeal in your room. Easy way around it, though--eat cereal instead; they sell 2% milk in the convenience store for a dollar.
Sleep Conditions:
No need for earplugs. Curtains make the room sufficiently dark. Excellent sleeping conditions ... you'll definitely get rest here.
Description of wi-fi:
Stop charging for wi-fi!
Description of fitness room:
Not exactly stocked the way I would set up a fitness room, but the offerings aren't bad. But the real reason it gets a rating of "You Rock!"? It's open 24 hours a day and it's free ... woohoo, what an asset! Kicks the hell out of the deal at the Orleans. Go Sun Coast, it's your birthday ...
Description of pool:
Small and dirty. Ooooo, yuck. I sprayed myself down with lysol when I got out of that one. There was all sorts of garbage in there when I went for a swim ... plastic cups, wads of hair ... nasty shit. Only went in there once. Besides, it's barely big enough to do laps. Another property that thinks the only purpose of a pool is to lay out by it and get a tan. Haven't you people ever heard of skin cancer? I use an SPF of 60 and stay out of the sun as much as possible. 'Course I'm white as a ghost, but ...
Safety:
It's nestled in a suburban area. OMG, talk about safe ... no worries whatsoever. 'Course it's way far the hell away from any action whatsoever ...
Price:
Affordable. I paid about $60 weeknights and $109 weekends.
Additional Information and Links:
Late night breakfast specials ... like $2.99. Good deal!
