Description of room:
Coffee maker, iron & board, and a nice bathroom. The rooms at the Terrace have refrigerators. I stayed at the Veranda this last time and it looks old and worn. My room had scuffed walls and burns and stains on the floor. It's not horrible, but it could definitely use an upgrade. Don't go there thinking you'll be staying in luxury because you'll be disappointed with the appearance.
Sleep Conditions:
Very good ... the staff leaves you alone and lets you sleep in. Outside noises don't wake you up. Bed is comfortable. Overall, nice conditions.
Description of wi-fi:
When I stayed at the Terrace two years ago, it was free in the lobby. Now they are charging for it. That blows.
Description of fitness room:
Actually, quite a lovely, adequate fitness center. It's located in the Terrace. Unfortunately, they charge $5 a day. That's not an unreasonable charge, so I'm not going to bitch about it ... but you know I'd prefer they give you access for free.
Description of pool:
A very nice looking pool ... big enough for laps. It's outside, though, so watch the sunscreen and beware the heat in summer.
Safety:
Tunica is like Disneyland ... you could walk between hotels with your eyes closed and have no worries. Well, OK, maybe not, but you know what I mean.
Price:
The first time I stayed here was during the WSOP event so I got the tournament rate. This time I stayed here because that's where the Horseshoe is shuffling it's poker players these days so I paid the poker room rate of $40 weekends and $30 weekdays. Extremely reasonable, in my opinion
